Wine:

The Blanc Grand Cru V.P. Extra-Brut Champagne—meaning “prolonged aging”—is a masterful exploration of extended maturation. Francis Egly has a particular passion for patiently aged Champagnes that reveal both power and elegance over time. This cuvée, aged for more than seven years in the cellar after barrel vinification (a house tradition), emerges as a full-bodied, generous Champagne. Structured by Pinot Noir, with the chalky terroirs adding vibrancy and one-third Chardonnay for balance, it boasts a refined, lingering finish. A Champagne to savor deeply, especially in Magnum format, perfect for aging and shared enjoyment. Rated 96/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts and in oak barrels, aged for 84 months on the lees before disgorgement. Main base 2013 (50%), 2012 (30%), 2011 (20%).
Bottled in 2014.
