Wine:

A pure Malbec from the Mendoza region, sourced from parcels at nearly 1000 meters above sea level, the 2021 red Mendoza Malbec 1492 is lightly extracted, with smoky undertones, black fruit, and graphite. Its silky texture, fine tannins, balance, and smooth persistence create an elegant and perfectly digestible wine, minimally influenced by oak and ready to drink on any occasion. Rated 92/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Vinification with indigenous yeasts, fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 23 to 25°C. Aged 100% in stainless steel vats.

Color:

Intense, brilliant carmine red.

Nose:

Fine aromas of extracted Malbec with smoky accents and a touch of graphite.

Palate:

A silky, lightly extracted texture with subtle tannins, a balanced, powerful juice with restrained, controlled ageing.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Leg of lamb with thyme, oven-baked rack of pork with spices, oven-baked lacquered duck fillet with reduced jus.
