Bordering on the 1er cru, on one of the village's finest climats, the 2021 red Pommard Les Vaumuriens is an enviable wine. Luxuriously matured, with a striking woodiness that is still present at this stage, it opens with milky, toasty notes that will fade with age. On the palate, a beautiful version of Pinot with morello cherry and cherry brandy, a sign of the grape's ripeness, the whole remaining balanced, finely drawn and not very extracted.
An indispensable ambassador of great Burgundy wines, Faiveley belongs to the icons of the region. Erwan Faiveley has taken the helm with zeal and passion, elevating it to its highest level. The small parcels, located on the finest slopes of the Côte d'Or, constitute an invaluable heritage that the House is committed to exploring in all its dimensions.
Across the greatest appellations, Faiveley remains masterful in its craft, producing complex and refined wines that emphasize integrity and precision, and approach time in the most wonderful way.
