Christian Ott explores on his own at Domaine Alône all the complexity and style of these Provence terroirs, framed by the Mediterranean sea beneath and the wide zure sky above. With a precise attention to detail and his terroir, concerned with transcribing every breath of it in the most respectful way possible, this great winemaker reveals a new expression of the Provence wines.
In the middle of a cirque, Alône enjoys an incredible natural biotope and a unique environment. A land rich in sand, an Eden far from pollution, sheltered by the forest from the summer heat and perched at an altitude of some 450 meters... It is in this wild and preserved nature, in complete freedom, that he creates his wines. Manual harvesting, parcel-by-parcel vinification of whole grapes, maturing in ceramic and porcelain spheres. Everything is meticulously thought out.
