The estate and the wine |
Based in Chinon, Domaine Pierre Sourdais has been a major discovery for our Selection Committee, offering exceptional value for its category.
Run by Caroline and Sylvain Sourdais, the estate is farmed organically and biodynamically, producing beautifully precise and vibrant Cabernet Franc across 30 hectares. |

Blended from several of the estate’s terroirs, the 2022 Red Chinon Tradition hits a perfect balance. It’s a beautifully expressive Chinon, with a pure, focused nose offering notes of graphite and ripe pepper. The Cabernet Franc is harvested at full maturity, delivering generous fruit on a concentrated, mineral, and full-bodied palate—all kept fresh and lively from start to finish. A top-class wine at a remarkable price. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
