The estate and the wine A true benchmark in the Mâconnais, Jean-Marie Guffens consistently pushes boundaries and defies expectations. His mastery and creativity allow him to craft distinctive wines across all three colors. The Tinus Collection originates from Château des Tourettes, Jean-Marie and Maine Guffens’ Luberon estate, nestled on limestone-rich soils at 400 meters of altitude. The 2021 Red Tinus Rouge d’une Nuit Vin de France is crafted using a truly unique technique: a rosé press blended overnight with a marc of old-vine Grenache. Aged in tanks to retain its fresh character, this ingenious and surprising red is unlike anything else. It reveals notes of fresh fruit and white flowers, carried by a crisp and juicy structure. A straightforward, delicious red to enjoy without hesitation—especially at this price! Hand-harvested, the juices from the Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon rosés were drawn off from the presses and left overnight on the old Grenache pomace before being drawn off into vats. Matured in stainless steel vats to preserve the purity of the fruit. The estate chose to fill this wine with a Stelvin screw cap, preserving its freshness and eliminating any cork taint. Nestled in the Chianti region, this stunning 26-hectare estate, cultivated organically, pulses with the essence of Italy. On these sun-drenched lands, Sangiovese reigns supreme. We partnered with the estate to craft an authentic wine that embodies the very soul of Tuscany, reflected in its aromas and flavors. Composed of 90% Sangiovese, the 2020 red Shape of My Heart IGT Toscana exudes charm and elegance. The nose offers enticing notes of stone fruits and subtle spices, with the oak influence kept in check, maintaining a warm yet balanced character. A hint of graphite, courtesy of the Cabernet, adds freshness. On the palate, this wine is refined and easy-drinking, with delicate tannins and a fresh, light touch. The 2021 Red Crozes-Hermitage Nobilis Semita opens with a beautifully classic Crozes nose, showcasing the hallmark smoky bacon notes of Syrah, complemented by restrained and well-judged aging. Ripe, fresh, and perfectly balanced, it delivers an almost velvety texture on the palate, with fine tannins and an immediate, irresistible appeal. A standout vintage for 2021! Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel vats for 10 days. Aged for 9 months, mainly in truncated-cone vats, with the remainder in 228-litre pièces Bourguignonne, then 10 months in stainless-steel vats. AWARDS Cuvée rated 92/100 by our Committee.
